CECIL E. WASHINGTON, JR CECIL E. WASHINGTON, JR. hails from Birmingham, Ala. He received his B.A. in theatre arts from Alabama State University, along with a certificate in film and television from the New York School of Dramatic Arts in Manhattan. Cecil’s most recent roles with various theatre companies include Martin Luther King in MLK: A Letter From The Birmingham Jail, Julian Marsh in 42nd Street, Delray Jones in Memphis the Musical, Christian in Ruined, and Marius Pontmercy in Les Miserables. Cecil has appeared in the television show Law & Order and in numerous films. He made his debut performance with WBTT as Mister in this season’s The Color Purple
