This free event takes place on the WBTT campus (1012 N. Orange Ave., Sarasota) from 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM.

A free jazz concert by renowned jazz saxophonist Dee Lucas at 6 PM – in collaboration with Smooth Jazz Harbor online radio and Steglich Ross and Associates

Screening of “Soul Crooners – The Documentary,” which discusses the history of the group and was filmed as the troupe was getting ready to perform at the 2024 International Black Theatre Festival in Winston Salem North Carolina

11:00 am - Yoga Workshop with Travis Ray - The Binz Buidling, 1st floor
~ Calling all Yogis! beginners and advance alike- Bring your mat and some water to join yoga teacher/reiki master Travis Ray as he leads a Gentle Perspective Yoga flow session

12:15 pm - Pottery Workshop with KAABO CLAY - Howard J. Millman Blackbox Theatre
~ We will be hosting a pottery workshop with Osa Atoe who is the founder of Kaabo Clay collective. The collective exists to decrease experiences of racial isolation and to claim our heritage and influence as African descended people within the field of ceramics. The goal of this workshop is to expose black underprivileged youth to ceramic arts.

~ Georgetta Bundley and Dawnyelle Singleton will lead a Paint and Chat workshop. This event is collaboration with Shop Chats, a local program led by Dawnyelle that fosters a safe space for Black women to discuss various communal issues (including but not limited to, reproductive, mental, relational health).
