EFFECTIVE AUGUST 24, 2022, MASKS ARE RECOMMENDED BUT NOT REQUIRED IN OUR THEATRE

We are grateful to our loyal and patient patrons who came to the theatre last season and followed our COVID-19 safety protocols. Thank you for helping to keep your fellow patrons, our performers, our crew and our staff safe in a difficult time.

For our 2022-2023 season we will continue to follow CDC guidance. At the current time, the CDC is recommending masks for indoor performances in our area. WBTT is also recommending but not requiring masks in our theatre.

Protocols may be revised based on CDC guidance and changing local circumstances. We will update these protocols and communicate with our patrons if there are any changes.

WBTT’s COVID-19 Precautions and Procedures

Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe follows CDC guidelines. We have several certified COVID-19 safety officers to inform our policies that are designed to protect our patrons, cast and crew and to minimize the chances of spreading the virus.

Our on-site performers, musicians, crew members and staff are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If anyone tests positive or comes into contact with someone who has tested positive, we instigate testing and contact tracing, and ensure that affected individuals observe the current CDC-recommended quarantine period. If anyone feels unwell, they are asked not to come to our campus.

We employ a cleaning company to thoroughly sanitize and disinfect all surface areas daily, including seats and other areas patrons may touch. Our HVAC systems are regularly maintained, and we have installed UV air scrubbers/purifiers throughout these systems in both of our facilities. In addition, hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the theatre for the convenience of patrons and staff.
