POLICIES

EXCHANGES

Free exchanges are available for current season subscribers, based on availability, and must be made at least 24-hours in advance of the performance date.

Exchanges for non-subscribers are based on availability and must be made at least 24-hours in advance of the performance date. Tickets are subject to an exchange fee.

STUDENT RUSH TICKETS

Beginning 30 minutes before each performance, if tickets are available, students aged 25 or under may purchase a Student Rush ticket. Student Rush tickets are $5; cash only, and a state-issued license or ID is required.

Rush tickets are subject to availability and students may only purchase one ticket. Discounts and promotional offers do not apply.

LATE SEATING

Due to the intimate size of our theatre, our entrances and exits are constantly in use by cast and crew and, therefore, we are unable to seat any late patrons. If you cannot arrive within 5 minutes of curtain time, please call the box office at (941) 366-1505, so we can hold your tickets and not release them for sale. We start seating standby patrons 5 minutes before curtain time. If we haven’t heard from you by then, we may offer your seats to standby ticket holders.

REFUNDS

No refunds will be issued for tickets.

If unable to attend a show and you would like to donate your tickets back to the theatre, please contact the Box Office at least 24-hours in advance of the performance date. You will receive a letter for tax purposes.

GROUP SALES

We all have groups that we belong to—a neighborhood, religious, or civic association, colleagues at work, on the court, or at the gym. If you want to have a fun time with 15 or more people, bring them to one of our performances. Just call us at (941) 366-1505 and we'll give you a special group discount. We suggest you make these arrangements as early as possible as shows sell out quickly.

Please note that a 50% deposit is due to reserve tickets, with the remaining balance due 30 business days later or one week before the scheduled performance- whichever comes FIRST.

TICKET DONATION REQUESTS

Thank you for thinking of Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe for your fundraising event.

The Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe is committed to being a contributing member of our community, and proudly supports fellow nonprofit and educational programs. However, due to the intimate size of our theatre, we have a limited number of ticket donations available each season for fundraising events. Since we receive many requests for donations to worthy causes, we will do our best to respond via email within two weeks of receipt.

Requests may be submitted for any fundraising event, but preference will be given to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in Sarasota and Manatee counties with a mission that relates to our work. Requests are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

Requests must be made a minimum of one month before your event.

Ticket donations are for fundraising purposes only.

If your request is approved, Westcoast Black Theatre will provide a certificate valid for tickets to an upcoming production, subject to availability and possible blackout dates.

Your event must acknowledge the donation of Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe tickets in your printed or electronic program materials or on event signage.

Since we hope to partner with as many community organizations as possible, donations will be made to each organization only once per year.
