Naarai Jacobs is the daughter of Founder/Artistic Director Nate Jacobs and very accomplished in her own right. Born and raised in Sarasota, Naarai grew up the only child of Michele and Nate Jacobs and spent much of her childhood in the theatre during the founding years of Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe. She appeared in several WBTT productions, including The Piano Lesson, The Wiz, Songbirds of the 70s, Little Shop of Horrors and Jazz Hot Mamas. In 2014, Naarai graduated magna cum laude from Howard University, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. The following year, she relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. She has sung background vocals for Kanye West. Bret Michaels, Logic, Alessia Cara, and Tori Kelly & Kirk Franklin. She has also sung with David Foster and most notably Beyonce at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival. Naarai has written and recorded an EP that will soon be released.
