Makeba Henry is a Chicago native who received her MFA in acting from the University of Iowa. Recent roles were Nina in Sunset Baby at the Boca Raton Theatre Guild, Francine/Lena in Clybourne Park at the Florida Repertory Theatre, and Yolande in Knock Me A Kiss at the Mensemble Theatre. She has worked at the Circle Theatre, Pegasus Players, Light Opera Works, and Illinois Theatre Center. Film credits include Graceland, Burn Notice, The Glades, and Smitty. She received best actress nominations from the African American Arts Alliance and the Black Theatre Arts Alliance.
