JESSIE JONES, along with Bottrell, wrote this award-winning play and its feature film adaptation, Kingdom Come, which was released by Fox Searchlight Films. Her short stories have been published in literary journals and she has written for television sitcoms and an animated series for Walt Disney Productions. As an actor, Jessie has appeared onstage in New York and in regional theaters as well as in television and film. She has paired up with Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten to write some of the most-produced shows at community theaters across the country. The trio’s work includes: Dearly Beloved, The Dixie Swim Club, Southern Hospitality, The Hallelujah Girls, 'Til Beth Do Us Part, The Red Velvet Cake War, Christmas Belles, Dashing Through the Snow, Mama Won't Fly, and Rex's Exes. She was born in the tiny Texas panhandle town of Dimmitt, raised in Dalhart, and ended up in Austin at the University of Texas, where she met Nicholas Hope.
